Description
The liquid ring pump by rotating a vaned impeller inside of an eccentric cylindrical casing, liquid (generally drinking water) is fed into the pump and, by centrifugal acceleration, varieties a shifting cylindrical ring against the within of the casing. This liquid ring generates a collection of seals in the area amongst the impeller vanes, which sort compression chambers. The eccentricity amongst the impeller’s axis of rotation and the casing geometric axis results in a cyclic variation of the volume enclosed by the vanes and the ring.
